During my 12-years with the United States Army, I was always assigned to one of the Army's Public Information or Public Affairs office. I was a writer for the Army Times and Stars & Stripes military newspapers. I also wrote and proofread a countless number of Standard Operating Procedure manuals (SOPs) and created military correspondence. I was tagged as the "Go To" person when something needed to be written or proofread, be it military-related or of a personal nature. In the civilian sector, I've been self-employed as a proofreader and freelance writer since 1996 - I've proofread and edited hundreds of ebooks, website content, Policy & Procedure manuals, training manuals, term papers and dissertations. I'm a contributing article writer for the Discovery Bay News, which is an online publication for residents my hometown of Discovery Bay.
