The kit was meant to educate the female sex workers in the use of the Female condom (free samples were being provided) along with the advantages of using protection with regard to STDs and HIV-AIDS. Key issues were to reach target audience and educate them without being judgemental of their chosen profession. The idea is to help the compromised and highly susceptible audience achieve some semblance of dignity and the power to negotiate safer sex practices, without talking down to the target audience. Though the target audience may be illiterate, and in a compromised situation, or perhaps by choice in this profession, it does not make them unintelligent and moronic, therefore the communication must address their unique needs. The Middle East Oil & Gas Show 2005 was one such exhibition where in the entire middle East participated in the show. PDO is a small company compared to most of the oil producing companies in the middle-east. The client opted for a traditional Omani look for their stall – however the content was to show modern practices being followed in Petroleum extraction and refining. An exchange of best practices was on schedule. Further demands from the client also held that the stall should be collapsible and modular and be easily transportable across the GCC if not across the globe.
