The Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary (FEBS) Inc was founded in 2002 by former avian vet student, Patricia Norton, President and Executive Director, who saw a need for owner released and abused parrots while working in the Avian office. The birds in the Sanctuary light up their environment with an amazing array of colors and sounds. They are kept safe and well cared for, with most of the birds comprising of a wide variety of exotic parrots from cockatiels to macaws. The concept of the Sanctuary is for interaction and freedom of flight - not to breed, sell or adopt. FEBS visits schools, scout groups, etc and offers educational tours where the students make toys for the birds within the tour.
