Introduction: As someone who has been working with I.T. and the internet since 1995, I consider myself to be a jack of all trades. I have a wide ranging website / software development portfolio as well as vast experience in technical support and skills development (where I have written and delivered many training programmes). Details of these skills will become apparent in the remainder of this CV. I am currently the E-Learning & Web Development Manager of Preston College as well as a freelance web developer. My role within Preston College involves managing the college website (award winning), the VLE (virtual learning environment), staff development, software development and management of 2 learning centres, 1 drop-in centre and a helpdesk. During my time working in education I won an award for the best use of information technology at a national awards ceremony and numerous projects have won awards (best distance learning course, best educational website, and innovative design award 2006). I’ve also been developing websites professionally for 10 years and I have a portfolio ranging from basic websites to full e-commerce sites and incorporating W3C compliancy, video and many other forms of interactivity.
