I joined Vogo as a Sr Developer. As I unpacked my box on my first day, they asked if I knew Borland Delphi. I said that I had never seen it. They said that a vendor had sent in the code for our main product, but no one could get it to build. Four hours later, I got it to build and was named official liaison to the vendor. I developed server based, telephony code for Windows using C++ and SQL Server. Later I was made project manager, and then promoted to development manager. I had a team of developers and testers working on a unified messaging product until the funding from the investors became problematic. I reported to the VP of Development.
