For ePub Direct, I developer an application consisting of two parts. The first part was a web portal where authors could upload their ebooks, create detailed listings and manage their sales. The administrator of the site could approve new uploads aswell as administrating the site. The second part of the application was an automated mechanism that would package all the recently added titles into special bundles that could be uploaded to the main ebook distributors such as Sony, Waterstones, Apple to name a few. This process ran each night at a set time ensuing that all titles within ePub Direct were available to download through eBook vendors.
