Geofinder, A Smart Vehicle Tracking System
It is a cross platform fleet tracking system designed to work on smartphones of different OSs like android, iOS, windows phone etc.The smartphone application sends out the position, speed and direction of the vehicle carrying the smartphone to a central server. It can also send geotagged photos and text messages to the server. A web GIS application is developed to take this information and render it on a digital map or satellite image, enabling a remote user to track the vehicle movement in near real time.
