A mechatronic vision system for inspection of garnished wall plates
Detecting drawn objects on reflective surfaces is a challenging process due to severe reflectivity of illumination even with the utilization of inclined light sources. Lens distortion, which is a common problem, could jeopardize the accuracy of metrics needed during assessment of ceramic plates to classify its quality. This paper proposes a complete mechatronic vision system covering all aspects of building a robust system for inspecting garnished wall plates.
An Enhanced Vision System for Sorting Ceramic Plates Based on Hybrid Algorithm
The paper discusses the research carried out to design and implement a vision system based on a hybrid fuzzy logic and fuzzy clustering algorithm for sorting garnished wall plates. The system doesn’t only detect colour defects, but also checks for pattern validity in terms of geometry, angle and orientation with respect to predetermined axis and colour matching rules.
Automated Grading System for Garnished Wall Plates: A Mechatronic Approach
In this paper, we implement a hybrid system of fuzzy logic and fuzzy c-mean clustering for quality inspection of garnished ceramic wall plates. This novel approach is designed to inspect colour, geometry, angles and existence of colour spots.
