Keith Haring figures with San Diego Skyline
Following your brief, my test entry combines the style of characters created by Haring with the sport of tennis, set against a background of the San Diego Skyline. If you click through my entry, I've uploaded a couple of images with examples of how the artwork would/could appear on a shirt. Very cool submission. I'm torn about the skyline. SD skyline isn't very distinctive and also it doesn't fit in with the playful / KH-esque figures, but I do like the backdrop. I do think that's a lot of colors. I could 7-9 which would be prohibitively expense for us to print shirts. Lastly, if this were to be a finalist, I would ask you to add either, Cal Cup, or the initials of the cities. I like the graphic design and want to minimize wording but would probably push you to add a few texts :-). Overall, great submission!
