I read the description and what it tells me is that he is human with boar-ish features like the tusks rather than a full blown bipedal boar (i.e. "The approaching man was not big..."). Per the description, large neck and broad shoulder. I made him look short but stocky. Didn't went overboard with the tusk as per the description Micah mistook it for facial hair.

Thank you a great piece of artwork and you are correct this character is more human than animal. A good interpretation however you have drawn quite a mean looking guy and our character is friendly. He is not the protagonist but he is a main character and a hero. Is it possible to redraw him looking more approachable and a little more handsome?
