IMPROVE OR REDESIGN 2 OF OUR PROGRAM SCREENS

We are an accounting software developer and we want to improve our screens look and feel.
We have provided 2 screen shots that give you the basis on which to develop a concept.
We are happy to keep the basic layout as shown in the screen shots or you can re-design them from scratch.

We are looking for:

Simple corporate design
Colour combinations that are easy on the eye

IMPORTANT:
1: You do not need to rebuild the screens unless you want to. We are looking for concepts, colour combinations, simple improvements, and image.
2: You can modify the logo as you wish

More work available to the successful applicant.

To make it simpler, I have edited the brief (it is still the same competition I have just made things a bit clearer) and uploaded 2 more images. Have a look. I would say concepts should take no more than 30 mins to 1 hour

  Any method is fine. We are only looking for ideas at this stage and if made in photoshop we can look more closely at the components and how we can work with them. We will be cutting the components and seeing how they work in our programming language.
