EDIT: The winner will be someone who uses a good font, with a good main icon (above or below the written words), which incorporates a feeling of professional DJ arriving and mixing music. Perhaps getting creative and merging the idea of LOCATION + MUSIC + ENERGY. The winner will probably be someone who incorporates the letter YOLO somehow. These letters represent YOur LOcal. The NOT be someone who uses a VINYL or CD disc in the logo. This is because the company will be built on DJ's that use the newest equipment. No CD's or Vinyls anymore. This means icons like headphones, speakers, volume, location pinpoints, someone mixing music on new equipment, etc, is likely to win. However I'm open to all new and creative ideas!!!

Hey freelancers! How are you?

I need a logo for a DJ business. The business will be called "Your Local DJ". I'm not sure what kind of logo style, or colour scheme I want yet. I'm keen to see a bunch of your ideas and then refine all the logo ideas throughout the 12-day competition. Feel free to play around with photoshop effects. After all it's a "DJ" high energy feeling. Sharp cool lights and lasers could be cool. I don't want to get to cliche with lasers. The logo needs to look good in black and white, as well as colour. Maybe something like the apple logo looks on its website right now - www.apple.com - See the logo on the front page? I may end up with a similar colour scheme and layout as the apple website.

I'm putting up $120AUD for the winner.

More info: The business will be a DJ booking service. Whereby anyone having an event anywhere in Australia can jump on the website and find a local DJ wherever they are. At a price that beats most prices. For a quality experienced DJ. The logo is going to be front-and-centre of the website when people log on. So it needs to be prominent and cool and visually effective. Attention grabbing.

The colour scheme for my website is still uncertain.
