Our audience is very young children from age 3. This is an Educational Project trial.

We are looking to build a longer term relationship.

There are 2 more sets of symbols that are closely related to this one waiting to be contracted soon at successful conclusion of this project (Clothing Items, Body Parts). Plus one more set of only somewhat related symbols (Kitchen Things: eg table, chair, and so on)

(FUTURE: We are looking for re-use of a Main Character, and 2nd Character)

AN APPROPRIATE SOUND TRACK will also be necessary. More details in attached file, remember our audience is pre-language...

The project will involve hundreds of Symbols in coming months, this project is for FOUR very related symbols:
• ear
• eye
• mouth
• nose

There are files attached for each of these (abstract, Bliss language) symbols.

We are excited about this project and will appreciate and honor your additional interest, but will also respect your professionalism. Our project is about bringing this language into the DIGITAL AGE and we are needing help! There are not many BASIC SYMBOLS, but in the complete language there are 6,000 symbols. Are immediate focus is for less than 30 to have a on-line demonstrable game in the next several months. These animations require RECOGNITION of the SOURCE Object (Face, in this instance), and the skit is to be minimalist, but to Make A MEMORY CONNECTION to the SYMBOL. This in the mind of our children toward learning symbols as a bridge to natural Language(s).

This is a VERY international project, Bliss has already been mapped to 10 natural (spoken) languages.

These video formats supported by FreeLancer are: AVI, FLV, MOV, MP4, MPEG, MPG

The END of each Animation is to be the SYMBOL.

We 'see' just Two characters interacting in a simple cartoon like skit (animation sequence).

ONE of the CHARACTERS should be REALISTIC, not abstract, this is for young child RECOGNITION.

The other character can be many more degrees of ABSTRACT, and also, per the very good perception of @nkhutsishvili can even use the Symbols for the Facial Features.

The audience is very young children, before they can speak! <<< Please Note!

The GOAL is to make a CONNECTION for the child between the ACTUAL OBJECT IMAGE and the SYMBOL.

So we want an Animation that is Basic but likely Logical, perhaps humor could help.

We think SOUNDS can Help greatly.

Hello! Could you clarify, are the contestants supposed to create abstract symbols for the alphabet or the animation sequence described in the document or both?

  The .odt files in the contest folder contain considerable information, but I see now that FreeLancer does not allow (easy /direct) viewing of these files. Consider to Download and find one of many free (libreOffice Writer) tools. I will see if I can update or add somehow files in their supported format. (I am Linux guy)

It is clear that a sound track will be very important to the success of the skit with children, but PLEASE don't let this be a stopper, the contest winner can be VISUAL ONLY, and the sound edited in at a later time.
