Phase I: Using 3d scan of existing kit [to be provided] create a 3D virtual model kit of the major components.
- The scans will cover the fuselage, canopy, one wing, one tailplane and one fuel tank, but should be checked for geometry against the scale plans.
- The major components should be split along the main axis like the existing parts and locating pins created for the virtual model.
- The wing, tail plane and fuel tank can be duplicated and reflected to create the opposite side part.
- The standard wall thickness should be 0.5-1.0 mm.
- Adjust and amend the model after feedback.
NOTE: Scale 2D plans will be provided with known errors noted. Detail photographs are available on request.
Phase II: Add the details to the basic model to create the final virtual model
- Add panel lines to the basic components referring to the supplied High Planes parts
- Create detail parts based on High Planes parts and photographs: cockpit, seats, undercarriage, engine intakes (two variants)
- Engineer detail parts for simple assembly (positive locating methods, fit tolerance to be advised)
- Adjust after feedback following client organised 3D printing
*Note : Surface modeling skills is a must. Please submit your pass works in surface modeling in IGS format for me to vet, thanks!
