Customer Service / Event Manager

We are a booking agency for boat charters on Sydney Harbour for events such as birthday parties, corporate events and weddings and we are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written English to join our team.
All training on the boats and the Harbour will be provided but if you do have any past experience that would of course be beneficial.
In summary the role includes:
1. looking after a relatively small number of customers to help them find a suitable boat
2. managing their event by liaising between the customer and the boat owner with regards to their questions and change requests.
3. making final checks across all our upcoming cruises to ensure everything runs smoothly.
4. general office assistance (eg answering calls and taking a message if we are all busy, general admin work).
Most of the communication is done via emails however there are also a lot of phone calls required. Therefore excellent English is a necessity of this job.
Hours will vary as the industry is very seasonal - here is a rough breakdown:
Peak season (October - March):
35 hours per week including work on Saturdays and Sundays.
Quiet season (April - September):
18 hours per week
We are looking for a long term position as it will take some time to become skillful at the job and we love good honest people - we have a couple of great freelancers and we will look after you well!
