Create EPS of an old logo from JPG supplied

We have a very old logo for a local Scout organisation and need it redrawn in Illustrator. It is black and white line drawing of a boy throwing a rope that spells out the name of the Scout troop. The words need to look like they are made from rope. I attach a Rope Font in case this is some help. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
