Fix jquery/javascript

I have inherited a site that contains a lot of jquery actions which I need to transfer into a new platform.
The majority of the actions seem OK but I am not able to resolve the last few issues - I need someone who understands jquery to sort the following:
1. ensure the slider works OK (currently the slider captions do not change with the slides.
2. the search bar is at its minimum width until clicked then moves the menu across and becomes full width
3. Get html5 video player to play mp4
4. advise on any conflicts and resolve them
I need to add that I am not able to give you ftp access as this is on an in house server, but I can give you a url to see the pages in question
You will need to let me know what changes to make to the script/html.
I need this completing ASAP
