Build Asynchronous API for my website

I am building a website for security researchers and analysts to share information quickly and successfully.

I currently have a *synchronous* version of an API that connects to Amazon's API Gateway that works well for the most common cases. However, some amount of the uploads that occur will exceed API Gateway's 29 second limit.

I'd like to be able to build out an asynchronous version of my API that can successfully return the data to the UI when the computation has been completed.
