Decide and setup LAN/Cloud based for home + (small) school

I have a small school and home setup, totally some 4-5 PC's. Am getting pained because they all have different hardware and os and at any given time one has some issue. Feel if I go for cloud based (like AWS) will be better. Requirements are not too many
