Search in Acrobat Reader ActiveX (AxAcroPDF) component

I’m using AxAcroPDF (the actoveX component from Acrobat Reader) for displaying PDF documents.

This ActoveX component doesn’t support a search method. I would like to search for a search term programmatically. The search term could be set before opening the PDF document.

The browser addin for PDF is also using this activeX component, but there you are able to define a search term (in the browser you can use a link to a pdf file like: file:///c:/temp/test2.pdf#search=testWord)

So what I need is a component which shows a pdf and highlight when opening to the search term.

It must display the pdf with the Acrobat Reader ActiveX. (I don’t want to use another viewer)

It must work with Acrobat Reader 8, 9 and 10 (X)

My Project is in .NET c# 3.5

There is a component [url removed, login to view] which can do this, but is very expensive.

I think it is a ActiveX Warpper around AxAcroPDF component, so that the AxAcroPDF think it’s in a browser and doesn’t disable the search function.

Please bid only if you have done something similar and have experience with AxAcroPDF
