we are using [url removed, login to view] / [url removed, login to view] as our cms. the version of mt we are using is 4.34 (we are upgrading now)
we believe you will be able to use the existing infrastructure on moveabletype instead of building something custom for the authors. item 2 will use paypal and require using the yahoo pipes api to add their feed to our master feed after payment and send us a notification email that it has happened and create them a profile on the mt system so they can contribute to the 360fashion blog. we would like to create a page on our system where:
1. people can apply to become an author on 360fashion (free - with questionnaire)(this is public)
2. people can apply to become a member (pay)(we refer them and know them and are only asking them to fill out the forms) (this page has a referral code which tracks who sold the account so that we can pay out sales reps - this should be entered into the database)(and they have already been approved by the sales rep so they go straight into the system)
3. people can apply to be considered become a memeber of 360fashion (paid with questionnaire - we dont know them and this is public)
the people enter information into a database which we can review and has an admin pannel and click a button to accept or refuse. there's a button in the admin panel to cancell the author/member, which stops them from further publishing on our site, and deletes their feed from our yahoo pipe main feed and from our site.
the accept button sends an email to the person where accepted members can sign up, agree to the terms and conditions, and pay if applicable (see attached photos) we are modelling this after the website: [url removed, login to view]
the refuse button sends an apology email to them and asks them to apply again in the future and asks them to sign up to the 360fashion newsletter (link to the form)

once accepted (with a cookie from the email) which automatically enters in their previous application information (such as name, site, etc) and leaves blank the additional information.
1. become an author -- agreement to become an author of 360fashion -- no fee -- and write on the site. once the details have been logged in, an email with the guidelines for writing / publishing is sent to them, when they have clicked the "i have read this" link in the email, it finalizes the registration process, creates a user name and password on the 360fashion movable type site, gives access to the appropriate 360fashion blog, and notifies 360fashion that the process is complete.
2. become a member -- the members will be asked more in depth questions and such as do they need a free blog (one time setup fee payment for the graphics), and other questions ([url removed, login to view]).
at the end of the acceptance form, terms and conditions, and payment of the yearly occurring fee.
2.1 if the member already HAS a blog, then the member needs enter the blog information ([url removed, login to view]) including the rss feed. the member then gets a BADGE html code placed on their site (which then we can track their traffic via our google analytics account). see: [url removed, login to view] (you enter your rss feed and blog information to join their network)
their rss feed is then added via yahoo pipes account handling our feeds using the yahoo api. the database interface needs to show which feeds are pending and which feeds are already in the master feed on yahoo. the feed database must show who is paying customer and allow us to cancell someone.
when / if the customer stops paying then their feed is removed from the yahoo pipes account and their profile is disabled in the mt system.
please show us previous work you have done on membership signup and payment and any work with yahoo pipes. please tell us if there is anything you think cannot be done here.
the work does not include graphics. you will provide the layout and we will then create the graphics and send them to you based on your layout. we know that for the moveable type part you will just use the standard mt templates and buttons.
lastly, we would like a LITE version of this site without heavy graphics so that mobile phones can go to the site and apply/pay.
