Migrate sites to Amazon EC2

If you have experience with Amazon EC2 please read on.
I want to migrate one Ruby Rails based site and three Word Press websites to Amazon EC2 instances. So that I don't have to anymore pay different hosting services.
This includes all intermediate work of installing/configuring software on EC2, doing DNS config and mail server or whatever it is required to migrate to EC2.
