This is an outline specification for the work
This commercial project is the creation of two websites of which the primary is a new, search engine optimised, website whose purpose is to deliver leads containing information about people who want to sell their homes.
The finished work will be hosted on a PHP enabled server hosted by UK2.NET. The MySQL database will be hosted by the same company and will be managed remotely. The site will be written in HTMl with on-page dynamic forms using PHP. There will be no flash or Java used except where absolutely necessary and by agreement with the owner.
Initially the site will contain about 20 pages of text and graphics which will consist of between 200 and 300 words each. The user experience will be such that they can quickly navigate to a chosen conclusion wether it be further explanation of their 'predicament' or to complete an application form. The user in a hurry will see largly picture while those that have more time will be able to read the extensive text based guidance available on each page.
This site which is specifically for the UK market is intended to be highly ranked for the specified list of keywords and phrases. The aim is to achieve Page 1 and a minimum position of third site listed for at least 30 or the chosen keyword/phrases. For this reason the designer must incorporate the SEO concepts into the site from 'the ground upwards'. The aim is not only to attract users to visit landing pages on the site but to use every reasonable endeavour to get forms filled in. The completed forms will be the starting point for property developers to purchase the property owned by the users.
The database will collect the information from the completed forms and will need to have appropriate fields including a date and time stamp of when the form was completed and its age for example. The information from the database will need to be made available on another web site to which property developers have access. The second web site will need the facility to be able to take Paypal payment in exchange for the purchased'leads'. The design and construction of this second web site is part of the project.
