I would like an application that synchronizes a few database fields between two databases over the internet. This synchronization link is necessary, because the companies involved would like to cooperate in a certain way. In fact they want to hire rooms in each other’s venues, so they would like to see what’s available and if they booked it, it should be booked in both systems. Their IT infrastructures are not linked together.
The structure of the data that needs to be synchronized is quite simple and it only includes a few database tables.
Because I want to keep all development work to be in the same programming language I prefer this application to be developed in C#.net

I would like an application that synchronizes a few database fields between two databases over the internet. Their IT infrastructures are not linked together. A few things to consider when developing the application: - How are the databases going to communicate with each other? (web services?) - Is it possible to do a real time synchronization or is it better to let the application check for new data in short intervals - How does the application recognize changed or removed data in a database, while the database records both have different unique id’s (maybe create a lookup table?) - There should be some way that alerts the users if the application is down, for whatever reason. If they don’t recognize it when the application is offline, this can result in wrong bookings. The structure of the data that needs to be synchronized is quite simple and it only includes a few database tables.
