New features for existing web site, setup cron jobs, back up code to other servers, upload data

The project consists of new features and fixing a few existing bugs in the system. The code also needs to be backed up to two back server. One of the backup servers needs to be used for development of the code. The production server has a development area. The tested code needs to be uploaded to the development area and tested. Once the code works ok on the development area, it needs to be copied to the production area.
The project is broken into 6 phases. Upon completion of each phase, payment is made. The project can be cancelled at the end of each phase if deadlines are not met or there are unresolved issues that persists for that phase or previous phases.
You need to understand how the site works so there are no new bugs introduced. We have has many issues with code being broken.
