dynamic web scraping in Excel VBA

I want to scrape some data from a website called Docket Navigator. I want the data to be added to an Excel spreadsheet. I want it to be done with an Excel VAB macro which would be a deliverable. I believe the Docket Navigator website is dynamically generated with JSON. I will have an ongoing need to scrape similar data in the future, so I want to be able to understand the VBA macro to the point that I have a chance of maintaining it and/or modifying it. I have a masters in Computer Science, have done imbedded sw development with C & C++.
