Write a program for Linux to change servo drivers parameters via RS-485

I have a computer (Ubuntu 14 64bit) with motor drives connected to it via RS-485, there are 2 types of drives, see the documentation, i need to make a program to view the parameters stored inside the drives, and be able to change the parameters and upload them to the drive.
Also the program need to have the capacity to save parameters in a file and be able to open that file with all parameters stored in it.
I can provide access to the computer in question via teamviewer if required.
