Make edits to construct 2 html5 game project

I have a project I bought off of codecanyone for a simple html 5 game. I love the game and think it works great.
I need help getting the project were I can make a html 5 only template for it.
Basically there are 5 images that need to be changed inside of the project. But when I change out the images in the html folders they dont actually change on the site. So I need help understanding how to change the images super fast via html :)
