Intro: this is a consulting business that I am trying to develop for the French market. As I do not know whether it will work or not, I want to minimize my costs at this stage.
My visitors: my customers may be 1) new entrepreneurs searching for strategic, marketing and sales support, 2) existing small and medium companies searching for advice to increase sales (visitors must understand this message within 5 seconds when being on my website). All will be in French language. It must look both professional and intimate (I will talk personally, and might be doing some personal videos)
• What I want: no complicated and fancy website (neither flash nor animation, etc.). It must be quick to upload, easy to understand, and … super CHEAP at this stage (we will improve this later if it works).
• I will have a section with free resources upon registration (e.g. “My best tips to sell successfully” in PDF, MP3 and streaming formats), that people will be able to download: those free resources will be my main vehicle to help me generate new customers as people will understand my added-value as a consultant. Your design will have to ensure it maximizes the number of registrations
• When someone wants to download a free resource, I suggest the following (let me know if you disagree): 1) he will need to enter his name and email address in a form, 2) he will receive a self-generated email with the document attached (or an email with a URL, if this is a software application to download). The form should be highly visible, and immediately clickable both from the homepage and from the Free resource section
• Pages:
o Homepage
o Free resource section
o My profile (who I am, etc.)
o Contact form (where people can send me their requests/questions)
o Legal information about my company
• Marketing features: all what is necessary in order to increase viral marketing (please suggest)
Note that I am extremely demanding with regards to the quality and the follow-up after the project is done, but I am also very FAIR with all freelancers I have beeen working for
