Data Warehouse: TSQL,SSIS,SSRS
This is the first stage of a Data Warehousing project for a Construction Company. This stage included the data from Profit and Loss and the Purchased Order data. Both data comes from different transactional systems. Regarding the SSIS: In the first container, the data is extracted and stored as-is on staging tables located in a schema of the DWH database called STG (for Staging Area). In the second container, the data from the STG schema is processed and inserted into the dimensions. Incremental loads were implemented, using the Slowly Changing Dimensions Type 2. The third container processes the fact tables. It deletes the data from the 3 previous months and reloads it. For this, stored procedures are used. This package is scheduled to run every night, so the data is always refreshed until the previous day. Finally, a set of SSRS Reports were implemented to pull data from the DWH.
