This spring summer collection is named "The Papillion". As the name suggests the core inspiration for the collection is the vibrant beauty found in butterflies. The collection consists of a subtle blend of embroidery techniques from India with the intricate designs found in butterflies. It can be seen that the collection avoids the use of the exact form of a butterfly and concentrates on using the wing patterns to create embroidery designs, while abstracting the butterfly to create new shapes and textures. The wing composition gives a head-start for fabric development and it is neatly incorporated into the silhouette of the garments. The collection boasts the use of traditional embroidery techniques like Kantha, Phulkari, and Chikankari which are efficiently used to develop the motifs of the embroidery. The collection ranges from blouses, tops and dresses to pants and skirts with some pieces drawing inspiration from Indian traditional costumes such as Sarees and Ch
