Business-to-Business or Business-to-Consumer Direct Response Copy TERRI HAMILTON I am an independent copywriter experienced in various styles of writing. I specialize in sales letters and direct mail packages and also write ads, brochures, articles, press releases, and other marketing materials to help clients sell their products and services. Clients/Experience: · WizKids Games WizKids LLC ([login to view URL]) called for submissions of fiction for Collector's Guides set in the "world" of their game, populated with figures the reader could go out and buy. My short story "Enemy Healer" appeared in Volume I of the Collector's Guide and won the Origins Award for Best Game-Related Fiction, Short Form, of 2002. · Wichita Al-Anon Groups I wrote a press release to announce a public outreach event. It resulted in an article in the Wichita Eagle. · Ryan International Airlines I supply desktop publishing services for the Technical Publications department. While not hired to write manuals, I often help the authors (pilots and mechanics) to revise their work so that the words actually say what the author meant. I wrote the procedures of the department for the purpose of training new hires. These procedures were subsequently incorporated into a "Manual Standards" publication for use by all personnel involved in writing and revising manuals. · Sunshine Fund (Ryan's employee assistance program) I wrote and designed the brochure explaining how the Fund works. I also wrote and designed fundraiser flyers. · Ambassador University Library I wrote an instructional booklet for the word processor used at the time. · Magazine/Newspaper Credits: o Orlando Unleashed o Good News o Worldwide Church of God News o Youth 88 I hold a B.A. in Liberal Arts, minor English Literature, from Ambassador University. I did most of my English Literature coursework at the University of Washington. I wrote articles for the student newspapers of both universities on a freelance basis.
