We are looking for concept art for illustrations for a children's book for children 6-10 years old.

The book is about two groups of characters
1) The Overs - They like things to be slow, quiet, dim, and bland
2) The Unders - They like things fast, loud, bright, and spicy

We are looking for you to create and illustrate 2 original characters - 1 Over and 1 Under. We will choose the pair of characters we like best and have the artist illustrate the entire book.

Ultimately, 6-10 characters will be created for the book - 3-5 Overs and 3-5 Unders, but let's just start with 2 that the others will be based off of.

Here are a few lines from the book to further capture the characters:

Meet the Overs. They are over-responsive to sensory input. This means they need LESS input to their body and brain than most people to meet their sensory needs. They love it slow, dim, quiet, smooth, odor-free, bland, and gentle.

Meet the Unders. They are under-responsive to sensory input. This means they need MORE input to their body and brain than most people to meet their sensory needs. They love it fast, bright, loud, bumpy, scented, spicy, and rough.

Every day we move. We use our sense of balance to move (vestibular system). It helps us to stand up, get around the house, and play at recess.

The Overs usually don’t like to move much. Most of the time they like to sit, watch TV, and play quietly. They love to go slow.

The Unders usually don’t like to sit still for long. Most of the time they like to run, jump, climb, and ride. They love to go fast.
