Recently, my long-term girlfriend and I visited Catalina Island, CA for the first time and fell in love with the small town of Avalon. It is our dream to move to Catalina in 15 years and open a little storefront that is a bookstore (which the island doesn’t have) and coffee/wine shop (of which the island has one of the former and none of the latter).
