Intersection of ellipse

I’m looking for code that will find the intersection of two ellipses. I would like to pass the major axis of E1 and E2 as parameters. The alignment and spacing of the foci will be defined and constant to the execution of the code. It would be a bonus if those parameters could be set in a config file. The anticipated setup is F1 -40, 0 (Left focus E1) F2 0, 0 (this is the right focus of E1 and the Left focus of E2) F3 40, 0 (Right Focus E2) Return value to be X, Y coordinates. I would like to be able to call this using VBA in an excel macro, and C#.net project. Clear well commented code is a must. Cases that need to be addressed E1 contained in E2 E2 Contained in E1 The ellipses will have 1 or 2 intersections; the function must be accurate for both scenarios. I’m generally interested in the positive Y value intersection. I will pay more of a solution that allows complete flexibility to more and change the orientation of the ellipses. E1 (f1 = -1040, 40)(f2 = -1000,0) E2 (f1 = 0,0)(f2 = 40,40) This scenario would have to account for no intersection in addition to the above mentioned criteria.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
