526557 Customisable homepage

I want to create a customisable homepage, which has a similar look and feel to the [url removed, login to view] homepage. We will need full design (including logo), wireframing and related IA/UX as well.

Every aspect of the website will need to be integrated within an easy to use CMS. I will need ALL text on the website to be changeable via the CMS.

I have a basic idea on how I want the website to look.

The main features of the website are;

1)Integrated google search bar

2)Full integration and customisation of the “ShopWindow” from [url removed, login to view] . This will require integration of the entire shopping directory in a customised format, essentially creating an online, easy to use shopping directory

3)A simple flash animation displaying a rotating pattern of logos of various merchants

4)A small area of the homepage where we can advertise promotions/special offers etc (customisable via CMS) and provide links to more information.

5)Fully customisable homepage (including colour themes) where the user can set links to favourite websites, and add “gadgets”, exactly as you can with [url removed, login to view] . The quality of these gadgets will need to be like the bbc website. (you should be able to move them around to personal taste like you can with the bbc website.

6)A sign in area where a user can permanently save homepage settings. This will require a sign in form.

7)During the sign up process, I want a small additional feature where the user has to select whether the site was recommended to them by an existing member. The website should be able to keep a log of how many people have signed up in total as a result of the recommendation of the user. Please ask if this is not clear.

8)Other simple pages, such as “how it works”, FAQs, Blog, contact us.

9)The website should be fully web 2.0 compliant

The website will be monetised through affiliate marketing. I will need a developer who has experience with affiliate marketing and how it works, and how to integrate within a website.

I must stress that the CMS needs to be excellent, and very comprehensive, making it easy to manage all aspects of the site without technical assistance.

I must also stress that design quality and implementation are also key. If you cannot design and develop a homepage to the same quality standard as [url removed, login to view], please do not bid. Please also ensure you understand the project fully before bidding.

There is likely to be ongoing SEO optimisation work for the winning bidder if that is an area of competence.
