sql data recovery

We had a hdd crash on a windows server 2012 .On that server we had and SQL database. We send the hdd for recovery. They managed to recover the sql folders. Now we need to extract (export0 te data from those files somehow in order to give them to the software comoany to import them in a new one.

Can you attach the data? Maybe I can check the file, but there are no guarantees. Are the files in a .sql format?
