C# .NET to C InterOp Assistance

I need help with Marshalling a call between C#.NET on the Compact Framework V2.1 and standard C function (not C++). I have a C function with the following prototype in a dll. void string_convert( char *returnStr, const char *inputStr ); (the dll is available on request) I need to pass it a string that will be upto 16 chacters long through the inputStr parameter and the function will return an 8 character string through the returnStr parameter. I need to be able to send the standard .net String using by the [url removed, login to view] properties. So I need an example that will take the Text property from one TextBox control send it to string_convert through the inputStr parameter and then display the resulting returnStr in the Text property of another TextBox, including the required interop syntax. Please note this MUST be C# V2 for the .NET Compact Framework V2.1 on a Windows CE 5.00 platform. Please do not give me a desktop .NET solution, unless you are 100% sure it is the same. If you want to test with the dll the expect results are :- inputStr = "KM567AB3456JKL" returnStr = "38Q9R4A4" inputStr = "EY-95025.K" returnStr = "YLYRUCLS"

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):

a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
