Verifone/Hypercom Developer Needed - Create API for Terminal Communication

I am developing a point of sale application and need a Verifone or Hypercom Certified Developer that can create an application and/or API for me which I can use in my Visual Basic 6 application to communicate with Verifone and/or Hypercom credit card terminals. Some of my customers currently use the dial-out modem based terminals for the credit card authorization, but I would like to be able t some basic integration with these terminals so my application can confirm the card was swiped, charged and approved.

I'm unsure how much communication is possible with these machines, but ideally I would like my application to be able to send an amount to the terminal and receive the authorization number and ideally some portion of the credit card info (Cust name, last 4 digits, exp, etc) back from the terminal to store with the transaction. Before accepting a bid and starting the project I will discuss what is possible and define final program requirements with the bidder.

Please do not bid on this project if you do not already have experience working with verifone terminals. My understanding is that you need to be a Verifone Certified Developer to gain access to the tools and SDK necessary to complete this project. Right now I am looking primarily at Verifone terminals, but am open to integration with Hypercom instead.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Windows XP/Visual Basic 6.0

Full source code is required. If additional files are required for installation and use, those files along with an installer or installation directions are required as well.

Good in-code documentation and quality code will be required for payment (proper indenting, and easily understood by programmers.)
