With about 2 years of experience working in the Web & Interactive Media industry, I was involves designing and developing interactive flash websites, web-based applications, video editing/pod-casting, motion graphics and streaming media for both consumers and businesses, I have gained great diversity in my skill sets. I am formally trained in Interactive Media Design and have experience designing user interfaces for Web applications as well. My responsibilities also included user experience research, applying principles of design, layout, typography and working with the programming team to ensure the user experience was satisfactory during product development. I am the person who will be able to communicate between your visually-oriented designers as well as your analytically-thinking developers and programmers. My design philosophy is to keep things simple, unfettered and to create a Web application user interface that is easy/simple to use and not overly complex. Simplicity and minimalism in design has been proven to work without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics. While in school, I maintained a standard grade and worked part-time to supplement my education.
