May 2005-Present
NeuronBank, Georgia State University, Developer
<<a href= "http://www.neuronbank.org">http://www.neuronbank.org</a>>.
Platform: Visual Studio .NET, C++, wxWidgets, OpenGL.
The NeuronBank project is creating software to help biologists
identify neuron cells within animal brains. The software features 3D
graphics and an online neuron cell database. The user can create a
brain model in any modeling application and import the model into the
NeuronBank software to manipulate it.
* Interface with biologists to implement a client-server scientific
data visualization application for neuron cell identification in
animal brains.
* Develop a client library for the loading and manipulation of many
formats from common 3D modeling programs, utilizing OpenGL for the
low level manipulation and rendering of models, and custom
routines for higher order manipulation of models and data.
* Implement application as a cross platform client using the
wxWidgets libraries for results driven GUI, database, and network
objects.
