Own and operate Sled Dog Design — a freelance graphic design and strategic marketing firm. Sled Dog Design specializes in logo design, business packages, and printed direct mail marketing materials such as catalogs, post cards, and newsletters. However, I am experienced in all facets of the industry including internet and targeted marketing. I’ve successfully managed million dollar marketing budgets, but can also help you to make the most out of a limited budget.
Advertising Manager Software Express Charlotte, North Carolina October 2000 — October 2004
Responsible for all printed materials, including semi-annual 116 page full-color catalog for a software reseller in the academic market. Daily work includes designing ads, writing advertising copy, setting pricing and developing new publisher and distributor relationships. Also maintain an online catalog of 10,000 products. Work directly with Adobe, Macromedia, Symantec, Microsoft and dozens of other publishers to design and implement complete marketing campaigns and promotions for the education sector.
Pre-Press Manager Master Press Graphics Charlotte, North Carolina January 2000 — October 2000
Manage the Design, Digital and Pre-Press departments for a printing company. Implemented new work flow, scheduling, and proofing procedures, and established a job tracking system and customer feedback mechanism—all of which dramatically reduced re-dos, while improving on-time performance. Instrumental in launch and marketing of company’s new print-on-demand division.
