I need you to develop some software for me. I would like this software to be developed for Linux using C or C++. Tool to predict failure for SCSI disk. Do note I am not looking for smartmontools or other disk monitoring tool available. I have tried most of them but they do not support all sensors of SCSI disk.

The goal of this project is to receive once an hour information about the clients server hardware in a central location and store the information in 2 databases. On each clients server a custom tool will run (commandline - Python - linux and windows) that sends info by email about the hard disks (), cpu, motherboard, fans, memory to a central server once an hour. The commandline tool should run on windows and on linux servers. Only email messages can be send since there are no open TCP ports. On the central server there is a custom daemon (linux - Pyhton) which polls the pop3 server every 5 seconds and extracts the info from this email and stores it in a postgres database and a RRD. There is no need to create a front-end to the databases.
