Physical activity indexing on human ECG – A biomarker for the clinical diagnosis Motive: The physical activity of a patient is directly affecting the cardiac electrical conduction rate. In order to avoid the confusion of cardiac signal variation due to physical activity of the patient and the variation due to abnormal conduction of heart muscle, a biomarker is required to indicate the physical activity on ECG signal. Objective: The aim of the proposal is  To develop a wearable system to acquire the ECG and motion signal.  To classify the physical activity  To index the activity period on ECG Methodology: The proposed wearable system consists of ECG sensor and Accelerometer connecting to Arduino. The acquired signals will be stored in the SD card connected to the microcontroller. The signals will be recorded from 50 healthy volunteers under different activities such as supine, sitting, bending, standing, walking and running condition, for the proposed analysis. The activity detection will be done on MATALAB using machine learning algorithm by extracting the appropriate features. Finally, the activity type will be marked on ECG signal. Outcome: The activity of the human being will be identified and indicated on respective ECG signal. Components required: 1. Arduino 2. ECG sesor 3. 3D-Accelerometer sensor 4. SD card module 5.
