Hello, I'm hunter by myself, mostly on ducks. Considered similar idea about a decade ago but had no time then. I would do it on Arduino base, ESP32 controller. My first remark: are you sure to use Bluetooth? It has limited range, probably about 5 m for reliable connection. Using Wi-Fi instead would give 30 - 50 m, just covering all possible shot range. And ESP32 has both interfaces. Also, in this case I would rather use a browser on a smartphone to control the decoy, so no need for any app. I did this to control a robot, no problem. But if using app - I would be able to test it only on Android. I'm an electronic engineer with about 25 years of experience, also about 7 years of experience in 3D modelling using SolidWorks. Experience with Arduino and ESP32 controllers. Good technical background. Experience in 3D printing, manufacturing drawings. Hello there, I'm an embedded systems engineer and I work on robotics projects most of the time. I see you have a creative idea in mind would be really interesting to work on that. Top off my head, I see a duck decoy (which I would refer as duck from here onward ) which can be motorized underneath (as in a Remote controlled boat) so the user will see the duck swimming. User will be able to control the duck via an mobile app. Connection between the duck and the mobile phone can be either bluetooth or wifi ( I would prefer wifi for this case as I assume the duck will be far away from the user). Will use arduino as the control device for the duck. Additionally we can automate the duck to go on its own in the water in different patterns with still keeping the user control via app so things will seem more natural. We can add obstacle avoidance and more as the project progresses. I'll get into the technical details later. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
