I have configured raspberry pi 4B to be an audio processing device. I load headless Ardour (DAW) audio sessions and play them back. It works perfectly 95%+ of the time, but every once in a while a newly-loaded session will produce xruns in the audio every 2.7 seconds.
That is, I can load the same session dozens of times and then on the Xth time, it'll have xruns. If I reload the session, the issue resolves.
The source of the xruns seems to be I/O to the wifi controller, via mmc1.
dmesg:
[75875.900361] mmc1: Got command interrupt 0x00000001 even though no command operation was in progress.
I'm looking for a low-level interrupt expert, especially with Raspberry Pi 4B, to tell me (a) what is going on and (b) how to fix it. Is it a kernel patch? Is it some other workaround?
At this point, I'm not looking for hands-on help. I'm really looking for someone who has seen this before (and/or fully understands this) and can say "oh yeah that's happening because X. You need to do Y or Z to resolve it."
If that's you and you already know the answer (and I can verify it)... that's an easy $500.
I'm happy to provide more information on request.
If this is going to require more hands-on investigation, I'll cross that bridge later. Right now, I'm hoping someone knows what to do, practically off the top of their head.
i am excellent at the following :
- raspberry pi
- Raspbian linux
- python and nodejs
i can work on redevelopment of your same environment then try to reproduce the error and solve it.
i did an audio streaming project before from raspberry pi.
if you choose me, I think you won't regret.
best regards,
Hello, I hope you are doing great.
I have good experience with doing similar jobs. You can check my portfolio.
I can do this job because have great experience with Embedded Software, ARM and Raspberry Pi. Please start the chat and discuss this. Thanks!
