There is something wonderfully decadent about High Tea. Whilst pretty much everyone has breakfast, lunch and dinner as a matter of course......which these days tends to mean breakfast on the run, lunch at our desks and TV dinners as a result of our over-scheduled, over stretched, time impoverished lives, High Tea is an altogether different experience. The very nature of it demands that we relax and give ourselves up to the sheer indulgence and
pure hedonism of it all. We 'take tea' because we want to, because we can, not because we have to.
Nothing about High Tea in the Rosebury is rushed..... the tea is made in a pot with leaves not in a mug with a bag, the food is intricate and precise......a vast array of magical mouthfuls, both sweet and savoury, being totally pampered by elegant wait staff serving pretty little morsels in hushed tones as we sip on pink champagne and nibble, nibble, nibble on tiny hand rolled sandwiches where the flavour of each filling is magnified by the attention to detail followed by a selection of fancies, pastries and cakes that leave us quivering in anticipation for the next taste sensation.
