Freelance Chemist Needed Burke Therapeutics - Hot Springs, AR Position will be to work from home or designated laboratory. Salary based upon experience and completion of assignment. SUMMARY : The position is for a Soap Formulation Chemist to join a dynamic team of individuals in the business of manufacturing various consumer products. This perfect candidate will have experience with synthetic detergent soaps and previous experience working with Benzoyl Peroxide formulations. We are looking for a knowledgeable, driven and enthusiastic employee willing to learn, grow and help shape the future of the company and its operations. PRIMARY DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and development **Experienced in working with Benzoyl Peroxide formulations** Ability to perform test batches Job Costing Scaling up product recipes and supervising production Defining specifications within regulatory requirements Creating, managing and implementing SOP’s for laboratory and production departments Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis, Stability testing Maintaining lab reports, product formulations/re-formulations Prepare COA, EGA and maintain MSDS sheets for all chemicals on-site Technical support to other departments Assist with company Hazard Communication Plan REQUIREMENTS: - Undergraduate degree in science (chemistry, biology, microbiology, or chemical engineering) - Highly preferred degree in Pharmaceutical Science / Biomedical Science Team Player Fluent English (read, write, speak) Attention to Detail Takes Initiative, proactive Problem Solver Ability to work independently Regulatory experience a plus!
