Prepare a combined plot of undrained shear strength against elevation. Use different notations to denote undrained shear strength (Su) obtained from UU-Tests and Pocket Penetrometer Tests.
It is common practice to perform SPT tests to characterize material strength when sand/silt layers are encountered during site exploration. Review and synthesize SPT data corresponding to each sand/silt layer.
For each of the above data categories (i.e. LL, PL and W.C; Unit weight, Undrained shear strength, SPT blow count) you must prepare ONE plot that combines all of the data for the entire site.
I am a geotechnical engineer with +5 experience years and hold a master degree, and now Ph.D. candidates and geotechnical senior, I did many jobs like that before.
I am a Geotechnical Engineer. I am working on my master thesis on these days. Also I am working at a Big Turkish Consulting Engineering Company. I perform many geotechnical design ;furthermore, this is a kid stuff for me.
