MAC Application to sync Google and Microsoft Outlook

Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook - [login to view URL] is only available for Windows and Google do not make this tool for Mac OS and have publicly stated they won\'t provide it as they view the market demand too small. Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 doesn\'t support the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI), which is required for Google Apps Sync to communicate with Outlook for Mac 2011. Outlook 2011 does not support DAV (CalDAV and CardDAV) protocols and was designed to communicate with Microsoft\'s own messaging product - Exchange, or more recently Exchange and Office 365. This isolates many users of Office 2011 for Mac, in particular Outlook, when their web services are hosted by Google (Google Apps). Our aim is to develop a tool for Mac OS similar to Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011, which would be installable on Mac OS and enables Outlook for Mac 2011 to synchronize calendars and contacts as well as mail (which is currently supported).
